While Zoe Kravitz made her DC Universe debut in Matt Reeves‘ The Batman as Catwoman, she’s had her sights set on In a new interview with The Guardian, the 33-year-old actress shared that she had tried to audition for Christopher Nolan‘s film The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, but was told she was too “urban” for the part. Click inside to read more… Zoe went on to say that she didn’t know “if it came directly from Chris Nolan,” adding that it was likely a “casting director of some kind, or a casting director’s assistant.” She added, “Being a woman of color and being an actor and being told at that time that I wasn’t able to read because of the color of my skin, and the word urban being thrown around like that, that was what was really hard about that moment.” The High Fidelity star had previously discussed the comment in a 2015 interview with Nylon, where she revealed she had been seeking a smaller role but couldn’t get in the room to audition. “It was like, ‘What does that have to do with anything?’ I have to play the role like, ‘Yo, what’s up, Batman?
