The ex-car giant employee was absent for multiple reasons including health reasons, injuries at work and on one occasion, an alleged assault.

An employment tribunal found 405 of those shifts were missed in Rumbold’s final four years with the firm. But bosses failed to carry out the correct procedures before sacking Rumbold in December, 2018, on the grounds of “conduct and capability”, reports Birmingham Live.
