Woman who died in Wythenshawe house fire named as tributes paid to 'such a lovely lady'

Eileen Lonergan was in her 80s and had lived at the property on Haveley Road in Benchill for a number of years. Firefighters were called to a blaze at her home on the evening of Friday, 14 May.

A number of people attempted to break into the property after it went up in flames but Ms Lonergan sadly did not survive. Police say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a file relating to Eileen's death has been passed to the Manchester Coroner.
