Woman hospitalised after being hit by car in Toryglen area

A woman was hospitalised yesterday evening after being struck by a car in the Toryglen area.The 52-year old was hit on Prospecthill Road at around 7.55pm and was rushed to a nearby hospital.Bystanders reported that part of the road was taped off for several hours after the incident.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live : "Around 7.55pm on Sunday, March 6, officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow. "The 52-year-old female pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to serious injuries."A 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and was released pending further enquiries."
