A woman has stockpiled 25 years' worth of food and has created a hidden bunker in her home in preparations for the "end of the world".

Rowan McKenzie, from the US, has been stocking her cupboards with supplies for 11 years in anticipation of an apocalypse. Among her measures, the 38-year-old even forked out £7650 to have a bunker built in her basement.

Initially, she had started out buying long-life goods such as beans and rice, where she later learned how to preserve them, the Mirror reports.

As well as supplies to last her for 25 years, Rowan has also invested in a weapons arsenal - just in case she needs to protect herself when Doomsday comes.
