Kellie Chauvin, the wife of former police officer Derek Chauvin, has filed for divorce after he was charged with the murder of George Floyd.

In a video that was filmed by onlookers, Derek could be seen kneeling on Floyd‘s neck for nearly nine minutes while arresting him earlier this week. Floyd died after repeatedly telling officers that he couldn’t breathe. Kellie, who is a former winner of the Mrs.

Minnesota pageant, released a statement through her lawyers. “This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr.

Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy.
