Sarah Saphier, 53, was devastated when she found a pea-sized lump in her reconstructed right breast seven years after the first preventative operation.

She later discovered she had aggressive triple negative breast cancer. Told aged 36 that she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, which put her at a 95 per cent risk of developing breast cancer, Sarah is now campaigning to raise awareness of the genetic risk of the condition - to men and women - and vows her own sons will be tested when her youngest turns 18.
