The Platinum Jubilee celebrations for the Queen are officially under way, with a beautiful start on Thursday 2 June with Trooping the Colour.

It has now been revealed that the Queen will not be attending Friday's Jubilee service at St Paul's Cathedral.The decision was made with "great reluctance" but Her Majesty has made the decision to take a step back amid the four-day Bank Holiday weekend.

Friday's Jubilee Service at St Paul's Cathedral will see members of the Firm join together to continue the celebrations. However the 96 year old monarch shared that she wouldn't be in attendance, after taking part in a beacon lighting ceremony on Thursday evening.The news was first reported by ITV journalist Chris Ship, who wrote on Twitter: "The Queen has had to pull out of the St Paul’s Cathedral Thanksgiving Service tomorrow. "She suffered “discomfort” today said the Palace — although she greatly enjoyed it.
