The 29-year-old is currently recovering from a torn hamstring picked up in the victory against Port Vale earlier this month.
It is too early in Sarcevic's rehabilitation to know whether he will play again this season or not. Bolton have 10 matches left to go in their League Two campaign and are firmly in the race for promotion following an unbeaten run of 12 matches and 10 wins as part of that sequence.
