A number of big changes to lockdown are coming into force from Monday - 10 weeks after the rules were first implemented in a bid to slow down the spread of coronavirus.

Since then, social distancing measures have gradually eased in England as coronavirus hospital admissions and fatalities have fallen, despite some calls from government officials and scientific advisors arguing that the release is too soon.

The current death toll in the UK stands at 38,489, and while the government reports the rate of infection to be between 0.7 and 0.9, the latest data from the Office of National Statistics says there are 8,000 new infections every day.
