West Lothian nursing home closed to relatives after workers contract covid

A West Lothian nursing home has been closed to visitors and new admissions after staff members contracted Covid-19.Heatherfield Nursing Home in Armadale said that during routine testing a “small number” of staff were found to have the virus.The doors have now ben closed to relatives and new admissions.The home is run by Holmes Care.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Following a small number of staff testing positive for Covid-19 during routine testing, Heatherfield Nursing Home is now closed to new admissions and non-essential visits, in line with guidance from Public Health Scotland.“We are working closely with all relevant authorities to contain the spread of the virus.“The staff members who have tested positive show no symptoms of
