A couple have spoken of how they transformed a dilapidated building into a stunning eight-bedroom home. Steve Kisby and his wife, Sally, had never set foot in the north before purchasing their new seafront property six years ago - and now they have relocated to start anew on the Wallasey coast.

Steve, 67, and Sally, 53, refurbished the 'death trap' property into their dream home - and have now been featured on Channel 4's Renovation Nation, reports the Liverpool Echo. We came up to visit her once she had moved and thought 'wow it is quite nice here.' We had been in our two-bed bungalow on the south coast for 20 years, and thought we 'have one more move in us,' so we started looking up for houses up here." The family lived in the sought after area of Shoreham beach, next to Brighton - it's an area that in demand that celebrities such as Adele even own their own private beaches along the coast there - and a beach front house is often priced at £2,500,000.

Steve said: "It just so happened that by chance my sister was walking along the promenade in Wallasey one day at the same time the for sale sign went up for our now home.
