Firework safety is important. In these uncertain times, it's tempting now more than ever as soon as any national holiday rolls around to pull a San Diego 2012 and just send up a hellish beacon of colored gunpowder.
But we must resist because the weather has been dry and nothing kills a party like someone's hand getting blown off. Chief Keef, for his part, narrowly avoided disaster this long weekend when his own firework show sent guests scrambling for shelter behind cars.
Footage of the blast was posted by Lil Gnar, a rapper signed to Keef's new label 43B. Things go well at first, then the fireworks start to unload on the spectators. "sosa almost blew da crib up" Gnar writes, and no, he wasn't exaggerating.
Those things look pretty heavy-duty! It doesn't appear that anyone was hurt, but the lesson is still clear: Glo Gang should hand off firework responsibilities to Lil Gnar from now on.
