The group of young people were spotted on a wall above Liverpool Road. Lewis Nelson, Labour councillor for Cadishead and Lower Irlam, has since issued a warning to parents about the incident on social media.

He described the possible consequences of scaling the bridge as “catastrophic”. In a post, he said: “A concerned resident has been in touch with me after seeing a group of young people balancing on the wall by the railway bridge in Cadishead. “I certainly don't need to tell anyone how dangerous and catastrophic it would be if they fell into
