Wait goes on for the reopening of Dumbarton Castle as lockdown eases

Get the latest Scottish parenting news sent straight to your inbox each week with our newsletter.History fans, and those looking to hit their step targets, will have to wait a little longer for Dumbarton Castle to reopen - after it wasn’t included in a list of Historic Scotland venues to reopen from April 30.Historic Environment Scotland has said that it will take a phased approach to reopening venues, with 70 percent of its attractions set to welcome visitors once again when restrictions are loosened on Friday April 30.Glasgow Cathedral, Edinburgh Castle and Fort George are amongst the 27 attractions reopening at the end of the month, with social distancing remaining in place, caps on visitor numbers and tickets having to be booked in.
