A major new retail and housing development proposed for Thornhill has already attracted a host of objections from locals.Developers have applied to Stirling Council planners for planning permission in principle to use land north west Burnside Works in Main Street for employment, retail and residential use, including affordable housing.The plans were originally outlined in a pre-application consultation in October last year.Residential land on the northern part of site is expected to have scope for around 70 new homes.In documents submitted with the application, agents for the developers said: “The application is being brought forward by Inverdunning (Thornhill) Ltd, in conjunction with JCC, the owner of existing agricultural business on the
