Vernon Kay received a ‘hero’s welcome’ in Greater Manchester on Saturday night as he hosted his first fundraiser since completing his charity marathon challenge.

The TV presenter, 49, has spent most of the week taking part in a ‘ULTRA Ultramarathon’ for Children in Need where he ventured 115 miles on foot from Victoria Park in Leicester to Bolton.
