Two people have died after falling ill at a rock music festival over the weekend. Leicestershire Police are urging a witness who spoke to medical staff at the Download Festival, in Castle Donington, to come forward after a man in his 30s died on Saturday (June 11).

Police say the man had become unwell shortly before a set from rock legends Iron Maiden, at around 9.30pm. He was rushed to Royal Derby Hospital by ambulance after being tended to by the on-site festival medical team, but died later the same evening.

His death is being treated as unexplained while police investigate the full circumstances, Leicestershire Live reports. Police want to speak to another festival-goer - described as a white man, aged between 40 and 50 - who provided information to a paramedic while the man was unwell.
