Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

They both remain in custody for questioning. GMP said the action formed part of the force’s Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, which sets out to highlight the work neighbourhood policing officers carry out.
Inspector Steve Bryant, of GMP's Trafford district, said: "Our team are committed to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in our area and today's action is only a small percentage of the work our officers carry out to keep our community safe. "Although we have two people in custody for questioning our enquiries will remain ongoing and I would like to extend my thanks to the local community for their support in reporting issues and providing us with information. “This information is vital in allowing us to tackle the issues that impact you the most. "I would also encourage anyone with issues or information into criminal activity in your area to get in touch with us as soon as possible." Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency. Details can also be passed via the GMP website or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
