The second night of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday drew a bigger audience than Monday's coverage, though it came up a little short of both the 2016 convention and last week's Democratic Party gathering.
The six major channels covering the convention — CNN, Fox News and MSNBC on cable and broadcast networks ABC, CBS and NBC combined for just over 18 million viewers in the 10 p.m.
ET hour. That's up a good amount from the 15.85 million people who tuned in on Monday. It's down by 7 percent, however, from the 19.4 million viewers for the same night of the RNC in 2016.
