Tributes paid to brave Perthshire carer Christina who passes away from coronavirus

Tributes have been paid to a Perthshire carer who died this week after contracting COVID-19. Christina Maclennan - known to some friends as Christine - died in Ninewells on Monday, April 20.A champion bowler, Christina was well known in her home town of Aberfeldy and also in Pitlochry where she played in recent years.Highland ward councillor, John Duff knew Christina well.

He said: “Sadly, after a brave fight, poor Christina has lost her life to coronavirus and her death at such a relatively young age is a terrible tragedy.“I extend my deepest condolences to her partner, Keith, her friends and her wider family.”Her friend and Cllr Duff’s sister Fiona Roberts said: “This horrific virus has robbed us all of a much-loved person.“Christina was
