Whitefield baby had just come home from North Manchester General Hospital after being born on September 8, 2019.Although she was born prematurely at 31 weeks, Ivy had been 'thriving' and growing well thanks to 'experienced mum' Victoria Shirreff, doctors told Manchester North's Coroners Court.Little Ivy had been feeding well and settling into the family who were thrilled to welcome her, including two siblings excited to have another friend to play with, said Assistant Coroner Lisa Judge.But in the early hours of November 23, 2019, Ms Shirreff went to Ivy's Moses basket to feed her and was struck with 'abject horror' as she found her baby 'unresponsive, cold and heavy', heard the inquest.
