Tottenham have been referred to the UEFA disciplinary committee after their match with Rennes could not be played. The English Premier League side were due to play their final Conference League match on Thursday but the fixture had to be postponed.
However, a Covid outbreak in Antonio Conte 's squad meant that the fixture could not go ahead and given a hectic domestic schedule over the winter there is no space to reschedule.
UEFA rules state that all group stage matches must be completed by December 31, something that will prove impossible with Tottenham also needing to accommodate postponed Premier League games.
