Top cop thanks Wishaw public for lockdown co-operation as new penalty figures released

Police have issued 360 fixed penalty notices (FPNs) to people failing to adhere to emergency coronavirus regulations in Lanarkshire.Since enforcement action began in March, 19 people have been arrested across the county, including one last week.In total, 1380 people were dispersed by police including 17 who were moved on using reasonable force.Last week (April 30 to May 6), 24 FPNs were issued while 256 people were dispersed by police - only one of which was moved on using reasonable force.Police in Lanarkshire have thanked for the public for their co-operation, consent and compliance during the coronavirus pandemic.Chief Superintendent Alan Waddell, divisional commander, also urged everyone to stick with the guidance to stay at home as the
