FORMER radio One DJ Tony Wyn-Jones has died aged 77 after a long illness. The "legend" of the radio scene died at his home in Neath, Wales on Monday.

His career saw him work at radio one from 1969 to 1973 while also appearing at Top Rank clubs. He later went on to join the Neath Porth Talbot Council to represent Bryncoch South for one term between 2008 and 2012.

Announcing the news yesterday, Tony's son Andy wrote on Facebook: "Dear friends. This is Tony's son Andy posting this. "Sad to let you all know that my dad passed away early this evening.
