Thugs threaten takeaway driver with weapon and try to steal his food

Police are investigating after a takeaway driver was threatened with a weapon in Stockport. Officers were called to a report of a food delivery driver being threatened with the 'weapon' on Saturday afternoon.

GMP said the offenders tried to steal food from the driver, who was not hurt during the robbery at 3pm yesterday. One person has been taken into custody, but officers are appealing for further information following the incident on Pendennis Road in Heaton Chapel.

They want to speak to two people who were apparently filming the incident. Anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
