If you’re worried about money during the coronavirus lockdown, help is now available for anyone with a credit card, loan or overdraft.
Bank and building society customers now have access to zero-interest overdraft buffers of up to £500 for the next three months to help ease the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
And customers with credit cards are now able to apply for temporary relief on their bills from today, as new rules implemented by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) come into effect.The City watchdog said the new measures, which will be in place for the next three months, will act as a stop-gap to quickly support customers at risk of falling into arrears because of a loss of income, sickness or a sudden change in their
