The film will follow the relationship between the famed "I Love Lucy" co-stars, and will be directed by Aaron Sorkin ("Molly's Game," "The Trial of the Chicago 7"), Deadline and Variety report.  The prolific filmmaker has also written the script, which will reportedly be produced for Amazon Studios and Escape Artists.

That mother happens to be a true screen legend, Sophia Loren, who has been directed by her son (their third collaboration) in her first major leading role in a movie in several years.

"Mankiewicz is talking about how he's delivering a script that's a watertight narrative and a destination," says Baumgarten, who just collaborated with writer-director Aaron Sorkin on Netflix's The Trial of the Chicago 7.

He was 85. Fenton also co-founded what became the Casting Society of America in 1982.
