The Super Six Belly Buster: I tried the eating challenge with the biggest full English breakfast you can buy in Greater Manchester

January is often a month of healthy eating, with Christmas dinners and booze swapped for healthier alternatives. However one country pub close to Greater Manchester's border with Yorkshire has basically said 'sod that' - by launching an absolutely outrageous breakfast challenge.

The Black Ladd pub in Shaw has dubbed the monster meal 'The Super Six Belly Buster' and it has certainly earned its name. If that isn't enough, you can mop it all up with six halves of toast and the same number of fried bread slices. Anyone who can polish the breakfast off in less than 30 minutes will get it for free but it costs £29.95 to unsuccessful challengers.

As someone who enjoys a challenge, as well as food, I optimistically thought I'd give it a whirl. Thankfully, the pub allows you to make any swaps when you book in over the phone so I decided to opt for no tomatoes, as I'm just not a fan.
