A headteacher is going all out to 'poverty proof' a school where almost half of every year group faces financial struggles at home.

The free breakfast club is just one of the measures introduced to help students at Co-op Academy Swinton. Kids can enjoy a selection of bagels, toast and spreads, along with hot chocolate, cereal, porridge, yoghurt and fruit without spending a penny at the club.
