Manchester City have drawn up a contingency plan for the even of Pep Guardiola leaving the club at the end of the 2020/21 season, with up to six potential replacements identified. The Athletic reports City chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain have turned their thoughts to finding Guardiola’s successor with the 49-year-old giving no indication on what he plans to do after the expiration of his current contract in the summer of 2021.
Patrick Vieira, who previously worked as City’s Under-23 boss, is believed to be one of the names on the shortlist, although the rest of the names are unknown at this point.
