He would often sit and paint from his regular spot outside Natwest bank on Portland Street, passing on tips to art students who would seek him out for advice and supplementing the money he made from selling his work by begging.The inquest at Manchester coroners' court on Monday heard how little was known about Clive's childhood other than he was born in Liverpool and raised in Glasgow.Aged 13 he ran away from home and joined the New Age travellers, a movement of bohemians which emerged from the hippy scene and free.
