Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas wore ponchos and sombreros and made jokes which left a bad taste in some viewers’ mouths. The British Mexican Society branded Tuesday’s Channel 4 show “irritating”.
A spokesperson added: “It is unhelpful when we are trying to establish better relations with a country such as Mexico for trade deals etc.” GBBO tweeted photos of Noel and Matt which fans branded cringey and even called racist.
