The Grand Tour is set to continue for the long run on Amazon Prime, bosses of the streaming service have confirmed today. The Amazon Prime series has been sporadically dropping feature-length specials over the past couple of years, after Covid restrictions meant that Richard Hammond, James May and Clarkson struggled to film worldwide.
But they confirmed earlier in 2022 they were back to filming across the globe, as they hit up Europe for a new Scandinavian special.
And it looks like they’re just going to keep on coming, as Amazon Studios boss Georgia Brown confirmed there would be much more from the trio ahead.
Speaking at Thursday’s Amazon Prime Presents event, she said: ‘The second thing that hasn’t changed at all since [we launched] in 2018, is we’re still sending three old blokes around the world playing with cars and our customers just love it‘So we will keep doing it, as long as there is a demand for it!’He won’t be disappearing from TV anytime soon either, as the 61-year-old has credited his Cotswolds project with helping him become fitter.
