Located just 8 miles outside of the capital, it's a hidden gem, found behind Edinburgh airport, this beautiful castle lies at the end of a 150-metre tree-lined drive.Dating back to the 19th century and set within 32 acres of well-manicured grounds, the Scottish Baronial style castle is privately owned and has only been in the hands of two families in the span of its over 160-year life span.Built in the 1950s by the successful wine merchants the Hutchison Family to a design laid out by renowned Scots architect David Rhind, the castle eventually came into the hands of the current owners, the Marshall family.The family then set about transforming it into a successful events venue, resulting in it regularly being named as one of the best wedding venues in Europe.Weddings are now regularly held within the castle itself, while the Orangery which offers panoramic views out over the gardens and is used for events and can seat up to 100 people.Available for exclusive use, the castle sleeps up to 18 people in its 9 luxurious bedrooms.
