‘The Bear’ Cast Thanks Restaurant Community Following Golden Globes Win For Best Comedy Series
deadline.comThe Golden Globe voting committee are big fans of The Bear, the hit FX series that has taken multiple honors at tonight’s celebration including Best Comedy Series and Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, respectively.
The Bear beat out the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, ABC’s Abbott Elementary, Amazon Freevee’s Jury Duty, HBO’s Barry and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building in the Best Comedy Series category.
Lionel Boyce, who plays Marcus on the show, accepted the award on behalf of the group taking the opportunity to thank the restaurant community. “I want to say most importantly, thank you to the restaurant community.
We play these characters for a couple of months of the year but this is your reality, the highs and the lows. Thank you for embracing us while we tell your stories,” Boyce said.
