Disney is taking their own stand against Russia as the invasion of Ukraine continues. On Monday, Disney has decided to pull theatrical releases from Russia as a response to the growing conflict.

Over $445m was made at Russian box offices last year amid the pandemic. Those numbers have been as high as $1.3 billion in 2013.
Marvel’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” recently brought in nearly $45 million. “Given the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we are pausing the release of theatrical films in Russia, including the upcoming ‘Turning Red’ from Pixar,” said Disney in a statement. “We will make future business decisions based on the evolving situation.
