Teenage boy stabbed after dispute on the same street where fatal knifing took place five years ago

A boy has suffered serious injuries after a stabbing Sale. A dispute which lead to the attack began on the same street where a fatal knifing took place five years ago.

The victim suffered a serious wound after a row erupted on Royton Avenue, last night and ended in nearby Baguley Lane. In July 2017, dad, Mike Grimshaw, 34, died after being stabbed in the neck in Royton Avenue.

In a statement GMP said today: "We were called at 10.25pm on Saturday 16 April to a report of a teenage boy being stabbed on Baguley Lane, Sale.

The boy was taken to hospital with a serious wound that is not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in a stable condition as he receives treatment.
