Most Christmas gifts are gratefully received by teachers as they are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to the kids at the end of the year.

However, one disgruntled teacher has shared the very strange present she received from the school she works in which has made her feel everything but festive, the Mirror reports.The art teacher from the US took to TikTok to share her horror upon opening the seemingly good willed gift from her head teacher, leaving social media users equally as shocked.

The woman who goes by the user @lil.yambs asked people 'whether or not she was being a brat' in the video as she revealed that her employer had wrapped up a Covid rapid test and given it to her.The baffled woman said: "I'm confused.

Is this a joke? I got my Christmas present from the school. It's literally a Covid rapid test." She sarcastically jokes that her Covid test wrapped in festive candy-cane wrapping paper was her 'Christmas' bonus as she added the hashtag #teachersareunderpaid to her post.The video has since went viral and has racked in over 178,000 views and counting as people were left gobsmacked by the 'insulting' gift with many pointing out that Covid tests are still being given out for free by the American government.
