'Synchronic' Directors Urge Fans to Avoid Movie Theaters Amid Pandemic

Distribution label Well Go USA has set an Oct. 23 movie theater and drive-in release for the sci-fi thriller Synchronic, which stars Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan and debuted at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival.

But the horror pic's directors, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, have taken to Instagram to urge their fans to avoid their local movie theater amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, including to view Synchronic indoors. "Due to distribution arrangements that are out of our control, the release of Synchronic into drive-ins and indoor theaters has been confirmed for October 23rd.
