Viewers of the BBC One dance contest were both thrilled and emotional as Amy Dowden made an epic return to the show on Saturday night (October 7).
The 33-year-old dancer announced in June that she had undergone a mastectomy after discovering she had stage three breast cancer.
The surgery came after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones. The Caerphilly-born star then later confirmed after her surgery that doctors found another type of cancer which she described as a “massive blow” as it meant she would not be able to compete in Strictly this year as she'd have to undergo chemotherapy.
