Strictly Come Dancing was pulled into a Brexit row after fans complained about a choice of music for its professional dancers.
Fans of the BBC dance show hit out over the opening number as the professionals danced to Ludwig van Beethoven's Ode to Joy, the official anthem of the European Union.
Ode to Joy from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, completed in 1824, was adopted as the 'Anthem of Europe' by the Council of Europe in 1972 and subsequently by the European Union in 1985.
