You may have refilled your car a thousand times, but then turned into a petrol station forecourt only to suddenly forget what side the petrol cap is on.It turns out the arrow on the petrol gauge symbol is purposefully placed on the side your petrol cap is located - a helpful hint when your mind suddenly draws a blank.
It led to the comedian breathlessly tweeting about the realisation in a way only Stephen Fry can. "Well, simmer me in prune juice and call me Daisy," he began."I never knew till now that you can tell which side of a car the filler cap is on by a little arrow next to the petrol pump icon.
