Ayrshire gym has become the second centre in Scotland to partner with a global fitness race taking the sporting industry by storm.

Livfit Training Academy, on Viewfield Road in Ayr, have become an official Hyrox partner gym — an indoor fitness event which tests functional fitness ability, strength and endurance.Hyrox, which has skyrocketed in America and across Europe with elite athletes signing up, starts with a one kilometer run followed by one functional exercise and repeats eight times.Functional exercises include; 1000m row on a rowing machine, 200m walk with a kettlebell weight either side in a ‘farmer's carry’, walking lunges with a weighted sandbag on your shoulders, and everyone’s favourite move — burpee broad jump.Livfit co-owner.

Sting has sold his entire songwriting to Universal Music Publishing Group in a deal rumoured to be worth over $250 million (£184 million).The agreement covers all Sting’s solo songs, including the likes of ‘Shape Of My Heart’, ‘Fields Of Gold’ and ‘Englishman In New York.
