Simon Thomas 'blessed' as he prepares to welcome third child in 'just a few weeks'
ok.co.ukSky Sports presenter Simon Thomas has revealed he feels "blessed" as he prepares to welcome his third child.The 51 year old is expecting baby number two with his wife Derrina, who he married in 2021.The couple already share 15-month-old daughter Talitha together, while Simon is also dad to 12 year old Ethan - his son with his late wife Gemma.
Simon has told how he feels "really fortunate having the life I do" after sadly losing Gemma, who died in 2017 just days after being diagnosed with blood cancer.
He told The Mirror: "The baby is due in a few weeks' time, so quite close to the end of the football season. "It's been a massive joy to see Ethan having Talitha in the house, and in a few weeks' time another brother or sister, so it's been lovely.
Obviously there's an age gap but they've got a lovely bond. "The way her face lights up when he comes home from school. She can say 'bye bye' now and she loves watching him play his guitar.
