Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Superstitious reason why the King and other royals can't eat pointy food

You may have thought that King Charles would only have a taste for the finer things in life, but it seems that he is just like everyone else when it comes to having certain food preferences...

and avoidances. While The King is known to be particular about certain ingredients and where they come from, he enjoys simple and healthy dishes packed full of fruit and vegetables over heavy meals with rich sauces.

Despite avoiding some foods for sensible reasons when in public - such as garlic, seafood and tomato-based sauces - some of his more popular food aversions are because of centuries of royal superstitions that have passed down from generation to generation.

The most peculiar of these is down to the King and other members of his family being unable to eat food in a certain shape as it is linked to the idea that the person who serves the food is trying to cause damage to the monarchy.
