A man was dragged away from crowds by police officers during a procession where the Queen's coffin was carried from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to Edinburgh's St Giles' Cathedral.

A clip appears to show the man shouting while the surrounding crowd sang the national anthem 'God Save The King', the Mirror reports.

Among those involved in the procession was the new monarch King Charles III. He was joined by other senior members of the Royal family for a vigil at St Giles' Cathedral where the Queen's coffin will lie at rest before it makes its journey to London on Tuesday.

Bagpipes from the Royal Regiment of Scotland could be heard drowning out any sound from the Palace of Holyrood as the coffin was placed in the hearse.
