mum who survived losing five litres of blood, a haemorrhage and emergency hysterectomy, is backing a campaign to urge Scots to give blood and 'save lives'.
Annie Kenyon from Aberdeenshire would love Scots to back the Pledge a Pint campaign off the back of World Blood Donor Day on June 14.
The 42-year-old says she 'would not be alive today' if it wasn't for a blood transfusion she received in June 2019 following the birth of her son, Johnny Mac.
Annie, who lives with her partner, Duncan Barton and Johnny Mac, now two, told the Record: "From one of my earlier scans I knew I was a high-risk pregnancy because of my low-lying placenta."I was given leaflets about possible blood transfusions from haemorrhages but I almost didn't want to think.
