Scots man spent eight days fearing 'paper-mache' flat would crumble around him

Edinburgh flat after a bad flood at his neighbours upstairs home at the end of July. The property on Albert Place, just off Leith Walk, was so badly damaged by the flooding William was unable to touch any electrics and parts of the kitchen ceiling began to fall in.

Some of the walls even turned to papier-mache as bits would flake off whenever he touched them. Despite living in fear that his "dangerous" flat would crumble with him inside, William was been forced to live in the flat until temporary accommodation was sorted for him, Edinburgh Live reports.
