Scot uses megaphone to scare off 'divebombing' seagulls after street 'turned into scene from The Birds'

resident is using a MEGAPHONE to scare away gulls that defecate on his washing and divebomb his car. Lee Ross and his neighbours in the Ardler area of Dundee say the problem recalls scenes from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 horror-thriller The Birds.

Lee, who uses a megaphone in a bid to scare them away, said: “They are nesting on neighbouring industrial units in and around Faraday Street. "There are literally hundreds of them.“I can’t sit out in my garden, I’ve actually had to put some of my external home improvements on hold because there is no point.“I’ve been using a megaphone when there are hundreds of them just to try and deter them but from 3am onwards the noise is constant.”Elaine Reilly said the noise could be “deafening” at times,.
